If you really want to appreciate the guitar, you should listen to blues music, or simply called, the blues.
In my opinion, when you listen to blues music, you somehow connect with guitarist how he is trying to make the guitar express his feelings. Although most of the lyrics are associated with injustice and suffering, the same music can make you feel happy and be satisfied with life.
The world has seen and heard some great blues guitarist like, Albert King, Freddie King, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, John Mayall, Stevie Ray Vaughan and the list goes on and on. All these have has so much influence on the blues music.
Listening to the legendary King of the blues, B.B. King, his solos will make your head spin! He played simple notes but what matters most is how he played them. He was very good at bending the strings. Surely the world will miss B.B. King but his music will still live forever. He was a true blues guitar player.
